| Playing with shock placement last night
After playing on sandy rocks last night, I took my 2.2 apart to clean it. Then I started to play around with the chassis, links, and shocks and came up with this - shocks attached to the upper links. It flexes decently and only appears to bind against the wire side of the motor. larger pics here Comments, suggestions. I'm pretty sure it won't work properly and will be moving the lower shock mount back to the lower links. |

It seems like having your lower mounts that close together you would loose a lot of stability.

Badger - it quite stable with the shocks attached to the lower links. just trying to do something different. Dirk - well when there are decent waves to ride. and messing with my rc crawler is alot cheaper than working on my 1:1 crawler. |

it looks like you might have raised your CG, but it looks pretty cool man. I think what Badger is saying is that your articulation wont have as much resistance now since your shocks are mounted so far inboard. For slow speeds your good, and since its a clod you dont have to worry about shaft twist. |
