Losi Shocks Q?

Does anyone know of a part number for an eyelet that will fit the top of the shock? Or what has everyone been using? I am just running some fuel line but I know that there has to be an eyelet out there that will fit. Thanks "thumbsup"

you'll need to dremel off the top of the shock and drill a hole for that mod. Traxxas part# 1942 will work along with some 3mm button head screws. Center the hole as best you can, drill through, run screw through bottom, put some thread locker on the screw and install the rod end."thumbsup"
You can get some longer ones if you want or use Revo ends, # 5347 and use 4mm screws with them. They are beefier and overkill but say "WOW".

I have a question on that mod also. Is there any kind of sealent needed on the inside of the shock, like under the screw head?

Berg ball ends fit nicely

I just cannot see myself ever doing that to my Losi shocks!?! There is really not that much gained by throwing a ball end on them. There is not that much movement to benefit from it but that is just me. Fuel tube from day one and never even considered that mod. Why ruin perfect shock bodies?

You can use fuel tubing with no issues or you can wait until these are released. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=LOSA5012

Nothing wrong with fuel tube.

I used the berg ball ends on my HPI shocks, and they work on the Losi shocks also.

You need these:

and some of the o-rings:

Cutting the top off also allows you to run a longer rod end to get a little bit more length out of them. Or move the shock body away from links when running them upside down.

Personally, I've been running plastic balls from Axial ax10 shocks.

I would just stick with the ever popular fuel line trick..Gives you some adjustability as compared to other ways of mouting, plus you don't have to hack up your shocks.I couldn't bring myself to do it.

use the traxxas striaght or bent rod ends

Mac10 03-24-2009 09:59 PM

I use a ball out of the traxxas rod ends with a washer on either end.

works great for me and a couple others around here!"thumbsup"

Fuel tubing is easy and simple. I run shocks inverted and nect to the links, the traxxas rod end keeps the shock cap away from the link since it's higher. I can also get away from using the fuel tubing on the shock shaft to hold ride height as well then. And I don't have to worry about losing the two washers or the ball in the Losi shock which is why I cut them. I would have done it even with the new Losi ball cap thingy that's not out yet, just for the extra length it gives the shock.

OCD,

Exactly. If you need length on the shock just put traxxas ends on the shock shaft.:?::?::?:
