| How Light Of A 2.2 Comp Rig Do You Think You Could Build?
After being able to pick up a Cliff Climber kit for $60 shipped, and holding on it my hands while presently surprised by the quality of what is there, I thought I would make a challenge of this thing. After playing with the Newage for awhile as my comp rig, I thought a "light" rig would be interesting to play with. I haven't weighed the pig lately, but I know my OCM is over 8.5-9 lbs at this point. To be honest, because I have dealt with such stout axles, onboard weight just has never been a concern to me. I have never wondered about a mod in regards to "how much weight is this going to add?" So, time to go the other way. My CC "kit" with motors but no other electronics weighs in at 41oz stock. Just slapping the batt pack I want to run puts it up to 3lbs, and still no other electronics present or real wheels/tires. My plan is to max out at 4lbs on this rig (I may not include a few ounces in the front tires for this goal), but hopefully more like 3.5lbs. I have a bunch of ideas in my head of how to keep stuff light, but any ideas you could throw my way would help!!!! If you have ideas, let me know!!! |
