Scale trucks look like real 1:1 trucks, and comp trucks are made to win comps. Comp trucks are all functional and don't need to look good. That's all I got, I don't know that much about rc crawlers yet, but I'm getting there.

comp trucks are specially designed and built to do enormous feets in competiton they are made to work the best possible whereas scale trucks are made to look good and perform so-so they sometimes even limit performance to make them look more to scale. comp trucks are made to be balls to the wall make it over anything a comp truck mentality is like "see that sh*t betya i can get over it" where scale is like "look at all of these details look the guy even moves when i turn the wheel." sorry if it doesnt make sense i tried to explain the best i could.
