full frame rock buggy. WK axles/Axial tranny

Got bored and pulled the tig out. I like the idea of a bolt on cage, makes tinkering easier, gives me plenty of options for link postions, wheelbase, etc etc. Here are some pics.

WK axles locked and shimmed VERY tight, CVD's, STRC rear lock outs.
Axial tranny, HPI armature in a custom can
Rooster Crawler ESC
2c lipo
XS3 radio
hitec 5645 servo axle mounted
Losi shocks
MFM chassis cut down
Traxxas links bent
Axial beadlocks with Chisels and memory foam.

Nice work!!! What is the diameter of the cage tubing?
Cheers,

Thats cool. Nothing like easy access! "thumbsup"

How do the rear shocks work with that setup? I've seen a few built like that lately and its kind of a departure from what has been traditionally done.

1st time I've seen a WK axle "belly up", are the alum tabs under suspension mounts necessary reinforcement? Seems it's 4 more things to get hung up on.
Nice cage work BTW!

Its not tubing its actually solid rod, 1/8" and 3/16" from Canadian Tire.

The easy access is a bonus!

The shock setup works nicely I find. I had to go to black traxxas springs, need slightly more spring to keep it from articulating too easy. It took some slight tinkering to get to work right, but I really like it now.

The aluminum tabs are how us WK axle guys have to mount our lower links and shocks. They don't hang up that bad, if at all. I run them as far out as possible, which helps. they make some stock style ones which guys cut and shave down which is slightly better. Not idea but it works "thumbsup"

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm going to slowly keep on adding. I'll keep the progress pics coming!
