Default High gear sucks?

just curious if my 18 is'nt the only one that sucks in high gear. steering sucks and it bogs down on hill climbs that low gear normaly eats up.anyone else?

Yeah, high gear has absolutely no torque, I talked to the nylint guy a couple weeks ago (in person, the guy whod esigned these) and he said that the low gear was going to originally be the high gear. High gear is pretty much useless unless you're street cruising.

even then the steering bites, so i think ill keep it in low for now on

Mine's been in high twice, and only for the purpose of running the batt down more.

I use high and low in my Jeep but it is the trail rig. It does fine on hills though. It will bog on them but unless the battery is almost gone it will still climb up em. Im thinking about running a 9.6 or 8.4 v pack to get some extra power in this one since the normal operating range is between 6.6-9.6v
My scorp stays in low full time. Hi gear will do absolutely nothing with 2.2s and when I build my own axles (thats right I said it) I am thinking about not even including the high gear segment on the tranny( I need to tear into it first and see if it has an effect on low range gearing though.

I put real electronics in my truck and after that it can now crawl in high. It has plenty of torque to play around on the rocks.
