Default hitman46mod's 09' Bully comp rig Vader

I built a new rig for the 09' my new chassis is made from 1/8" Delrin.

Vader 09's parts list

Chassis- Custom Delrin TVP.
Links- Modded TCS bent link lowers, custom uppers
Axles- RC4WD Bullys.
Rims- Eritex 2.2 solids.
Tires- Proline Chisels.
ESC- Mamba Maxx.
Steering- JR v9100HVt
Dig- servo Hitec HS-55, switches Honeywell #V15H22-CZ100A02-K
Motors- HH pro wound 35t/f 35t/r
Shocks- Traxxas Revo GTR
Wheel base 12.5"
Ground clearance 3 3/8"

I built and ran a custom chassis drooped AX-10 last summer and took third, so I hope that this year with some more practice I may be able to do better. I still do not plan to attend nationals, but you never know.
The chassis.

Assembly pics.

Shocks mounted.

Articulation pics.

Electronics.

Steering linkage before.

And after the link tubes were installed.

I love panthers, but mine were shot and I'm likeing the extra GC of the Chisels.

Crawling pics.

Slide show.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice Jess, and I have to say your rig crawls like a spider. Nice fab work

Thanks D your not the only one. Crawlercrazy drove Vader for about 30 mins out at Auburn Hills and now wants an MOA rig. He stated that it just floats across the rocks.

MOA are hard to beat and your Vader line has always done real well on all the rocks.

Can you post/shoot me some more detailed pics of your dig set up. Mine works, but I'd like to see if I can optimize it some more.

Nice build thread Jesse I better get on my dig set up or I'll be in a lot of trouble. Can't wait to see it in action again the 26th.

For sure that was not good that your dig kept going out last weekend. We need to get out to Auburn hills more often. I'm starting to like that area more than Davisburg.

Someone PM'd me about my links. They started out as TCS bent links and I modded them to take large revo rod ends.

8-32 drill and tap

Jess, the Vader line chassis does work incredible, that is one of the smoothest rigs I have ever drove.

Yellows front, Greens rear. When I clocked the rear axle it tipped the rear shock mounts at the axle up and away from the chassis. It caused the rear shocks to lay flatter than the fronts. So I needed a little more spring in the rear to counter the leverage.;)
