Well Extreme RC car magazine did a write up on the iRock 4x4 which is thier other large scale Crawler and this is what they had to say in short.

Torque & power: 7.5/8.0 out of 10
Decent for an RTR, Falls a little short when wheels are in a tight place, Gearing could be a little lower.

Brake hold: 7.5 out of 10
The brake hold was erratic, which was sometimes apperent while other times it held fine.

Maneverability: 7.5 out of 10
Good in stock form for an RTR it arrticulates well, stock servo works well for what it is but can use a better servo.

Crawling ability: 8.0 out of 10
For the price well worth the money, however it has limitations, The stainless steel skid plate is nice but was found to hang up on rocks, needs to go bye bye for serious crawling, Tires are too stiff which can be corrected with different tires or by cutting down the foams, and can use weight in the wheels.

Wrenching: 9.0 out of 10
very easy to work on and just waht you would expect from any crawler big or small.

Wear & tear: 9.0 out of 10
80 minutes of run time on the Integy motors and battery, Everything stayed tight and ran smooth, upgrade springs or you can loose a spring retainer clip, Rings showed wear in no time and most likely will give.

Tuning: 9.0 out of 10
great for fun, competition will need work.

Conclusion:
Lot of fun, took a beating, and just was cool to have a huge crawler.

Competiton potential: 8.0 out of 10
1/8th scale is pretty cool, but there isnt alot of competition for them in a growing crawler field. It would need alot of work to make it competition ready but over all for price and reliabilty based on i9ts platform it is a decent crawler.

Instruction rated at 7
parts quality rated at 8
durability rated at 9
tunability rated at 9
overall performance rated at 8
value rated at 8

Hits: good price for a super crawler, easy to set up and drive, its large scale tumbles a monster.
Misses: tires are not soft enough, way too many bolts for beadlocks, rings are plastic, radio and ESC needs improvement.

Main Competition: Red cat Volcano, Hobby craft canada HBX, XTM Super class.

Who is it for: bashers and people that like big toys

Team3six thanks and yes I have & did read that artical but it is a totally different animal.I no they are both from integy but there is not alot the same.I would just like some actual input from people that own are have seen the SS Pro run.The I Rock is a 250.00 dollar RTR rig and the SS Pro is a 650.00 dollar kit with no electronics .That being said I would like a little input before I give the output (cash) .Thanks

I doubt you'll find many (or any) people on here with that crawler. Integy has a bad name around here for stealing designs (that tube chassis is copied from RCPs Hustler) and low quality products.

Personally I would build my own Tamiya Clodbuster based crawler. There are plenty of awesome Clod based builds on here to take ideas from and lots of helpful builders.

As I'm sure many will agree crawler are built not bought.

Default Integy is a great company!!!!!!!

I have the INTEGY mc-01 superclass great crawler its a good product and with integy its like any other rc company you get what you pay for.Ive owned many integy parts on my tmaxx and my savage x and they never break or bend.My crawler maybe a copy as many things are but its sweet no upgrades needed and if there is i know integy will have them.

I have no problem with their stuffs either, I have their shocks, suspension linkages, 55T motor and a bunch of other hopups. No problem whatsoever, rock solid products. So many people say their aluminum are soft and bend like butter, none of the stuff I have from them ever bent so must be a miracles. I'm so lucky?

ditto that....Integy also likes to ship parts kits with not all of the parts included....or parts that dont actually fit without modification....just keep that in mind...if you buy their crawler...break something...order parts..chances are they wont fit etc etc.

This is the biggest R/C crawler forum and there is no Integy section under "brand specific".....

Integys stuff makes for a realistic demo derby though!

Only thing I like from integy is the rims, thats it.

For my other RC's (not crawlers) I have found lots of inconcistencies with Integy quality control. I would not purchase any of there products in the future.

For the $650 price tag you could put together a pretty good clod based rig using proven products from respected company's. Just my 2 cents.

Used some of their stuff before... has got to be the worst way to spend money in my opinion. Bad material, faulty engineering... just plain BLAH...

Integy, 3 Racing, HR, GPM can be bought here in HK for pretty damn cheap... I still order all my stuff state side... each order has a hefty 30 dollar shipping/handling charge... even then... definately worth the extra money in the long run... that's how bad they are
