| What are shock mounting options for this axle?
I am building a 1:6 gladiator using raptor 2 axles. I bought some yeah racing 5" shocks but having issues finding a place to mount them. I need your help in finding a good place to put them so i can get full travel out of them. The only place I can put them is on the upper axle C but the shocks won't have any compression left. The pictures show the shock mounted on upper axle C. Shocks are full compressed. I am trying to find a place to mount them behind the axle and down lower near the axle tube. I did try drilling into the axle tube (on the rear flat side) but the tube thickness isn't thick enough to hold a screw that's holding up the weight of the body/frame. I think it's a little over 1/16" thick. I will probably have to make some brackets of some sort but any idea how to do it? I need some suggestions to get me started. Check out the pictures and let me know what you think I can do for mounts. Thanks for helping! |

Braze or weld some tlt link mounts to the lower links right at the axle and mount them there. It should give you another 2 inches almost.
