mine did it when it was brand new. after a couple of runs it shifts perfect. i know not much help, but maybe just double check the linkage and if it all looks good just run the rig a couple of more times. no picture, it is set up exactly like the instructions off the RC4WD website. good luck. |

make sure the three bolts that hold the dig mechanism to the trans are tight - I know of few people that had them eventually fall out - ruined the whole trans.

How new is that R2D tranny???? what servo are you using....... if its new and everything is setup right, give it a little time to wear in.. a 645mg servo works great on an R2D.... |

i have used it for a little bit, not more than 30 hours though, and i am using a hitec 645mg servo. the shaft just torques up when the servo moves to disengage or engage

Don't give up man- it's just prone to binding. Which servo mount are you using? Combination of linkage parts is key too. I for 1 wouldn't point it up to 2 'o' clock like their website, but thats me. Nice n Level ! |

| Send it too me! Really they do work. I had to file a little to get a smooth engage/disconnect. The linkage angle on the stock servo setup is a little extreme (I made my own). And all mechanical digs "hang" sometimes. A bigger servo can fix about anything but it's really not needed.

i have this servo mount from rc4wd http://www.rc4wdstore.com/2/product_...roducts_id=517 and i made it so its not at the super steep angle it was flat and it still sucks, i tried a bunch of different angles and such, butit never works without a problem when im at a angle up on the rocks, it works ok when on flat groung and thats about it |

I opened up the slot on the output that connects to the drive shaft. Dont open it too much or it will not stay engaged. This happened to me and I had to order these parts http://www.rc4wdstore.com/2/product_...roducts_id=469 and try again.
