Default Buying First Crawler

I was wanting to know recommendations for buying my first crawler. I have looked at the ax10 kit pretty hard. I am wanting something bigger than the ax10, so I have been studying the xtm x-crawler. I am wanting to know what the best crawler to start with that can be improved on the most.

IMO I would say buy yourself a set of Berg or similar MOA axles and build your own rig using the vendors section on here. You will be much happier in the end.

Clod based rigs are big and fun to crawl with. Thats what I have for my big crawler and my buddy just picked up an XTM and were trying to work out the bugs. Go to the Clod buster page and check them out. Theres a lot more options for the clod's than there is for the XTM crawler. The 2.2 scale and comp rigs are fun also. Hope this helps you to get on your way to crawlin.
