Default Going to hike Mt Monadnock in NH with the RC.

Me and a few friends are going to hike Mt Monadnock and take the crawlers to the summit. Its a super place to play!!! Just to bad its 3,000 ft.
Its not a bad hike. We are going to do this on May 16 2009. Anyone on here thats local is welcome to joint the group.

Here is a pic to get and idea of the summit. The summit is very big and there is a shit load of room up there.

Its like $5 to get into the state park..

Looks like we are going to meet there for 10:00.

Thats a really nice looking place. Is there always that many people up there? Must not be far from the road.

When its nice out there is allway a shit load of people up there. But even what that many people you still have a TON of room to play aorund.
The only road around is 1 or 1 1/2 miles from the summit.

I tried to get some people to hike to a spot that was less than 2 miles and mostly flat. The first portion was uphill for about 8 minutes walking. Everyone was pissing and moaning about carrying their rigs and enough beer....LOL

Think this might be kind of a redneck sport? If beer ain't involved, it puts a damper on the outing. Look how many pictures of rigs have a beer bottle sitting in the pic or with a wheel posing on a beer bottle. Where's Jeff Foxworthy when you need a good down-home country rip/roast? Ah well....Good luck!!!

Wish I could get there, but NH from nebraska is a bit of a jaunt.

1 to 1-1/2 miles isn't squat. Seven years ago I did 32 miles along the great divide trail near Del Norte, Colorado on a week-long trip. Ever carry enough sh!t for a week on your back for 32 Miles? The bare essentials, and I mean the BARE essentials, including my pack, tent, and sleeping bag, totaled 120 lbs....

Suddenly your crawler ain't so bad, huh?
