This chassis is set up for the r2 transmission I want to use a axial trans. Has anyone done this? Does someone make a skid for it that is pre drilled.

I havent heard of anyone making aftermarket parts for rc4wd dedicated rigs. It should be relativley easy to make one, even if you use cutting board from wallmart.

I aggree, making your own out of a thick cutting board (the nylon ones) would be a great way to get it the way you want it.

It will be easy to build a skid plate...like they said you can use a cutting board for the skid....an easy way to figure out the drilling pattern for the axial tranny is take a piece of paper and hold it flat against the base of the tranny then take a pencil and lean it over and shade across the paper....the bolt holes will be clear as day and you can hold it on the skid where you want the tranny to sit and drill right through it
