| Stripped pinion yoke set-screw!
The hex on the set screw in the pinion yoke on my front axle is stripped, and I can't loosen it. Does anyone have some tips on how I can remove the yoke from the pinion shaft? Thanks. |

If there is locktite on it, take a soldering iron and heat it up...maybe you can get enough bite to get it out. I did that to mine and then drilled and tapped it for an 8/32" set screw that is easily found in any hardware store. Pretty sad that every "Hobby" shop I called didn't have 3mm set screws! If you can't get it out, just drill it out and retap with something a little larger. |
