| The (new) 1.9 Carbon Fiber chassis
Well, here is the new chassis. It is really my TVP tuber with the top rail cut off. Sorry Mike, I have crossed over to the dark side. I decided to run with the mini bug because the roll over factor is way better than my tuber was. I think I can get the body even lower by notching the area around the rear shocks. The front tires will hit the ground when it is on its top:-Pand that is a very very good thing for me. With my 35 turn motor and the new set up I hope to be looking good at the next two comps. |

as long as it still drives the same as it did last friday, this will be the rig to beat this weekend. I am still amazed at the lines it was pulling

It is the same rig, just a little less weight on top and the body is lower. Now it will have a new servo. The 1 year old 645 just stripped a gear |

Here is a before and after shot of the body. It is legal and looks cool and works very well. The only thing I don't like are the weak shock ends. They pull out to easy.

Looks good I hope to see it this weekend if you are going. I am hearing nothing but good things on your motors you have been making.

| Carbon Fiber for the stock axles
I had to build up a stock modified rig so I can test my 35 turn motors. I designed and cut out the CF plate and did a little tinkering with the stock plastic shocks and I also made some delrin lower links and skid plate. It all has come together well. I also modified the stock wheels as seen on RCC. I cut some PVC couplings on the lathe to fit over the stock wheels and it made a very good beadlock wheel. The cost for the wheel mod was .35 cents per wheel plus some lead weight for the inside of the wheel. I put on a 645 servo and all I need to do is electronics and then tune the shocks internal springs. I run droop so it sits low, plus I like the way droop handles. |

Yes, the last set of pics show the stock mini losi axles. Here is a pic with the body slammed down as far as it will go. Last edited by motorman1600; 05-26-2009 at 10:45 PM. |
