I just bought a set for my AX-10 and I've searched many posts and it doesn't seem like many people are using them? Whats the negative? Everybody's after the Losi's but these shocks look nice and they're adjustable. Just wondering what kind of setup people are running with these shocks?

Nobody?? I put 20w oil in mine and am currently running the stock external springs but inverted the shocks and used the threaded adjustment to help battle torque twist. I might try out softer springs but overall I'm impressed with the shocks, great upgrade from stock :flipoff:

I use 3R shocks in my drifter. Actually I have this set from back when I raced touring. 9 years later and they work like a charm with only the typical changes of oil.

Do the shaft seals leak? You can replace them can't you?

The only downside I could think of for some people might be the overall length but with softer oil and/or springs that shouldn't be a problem.

I have these, and I love em. I've got them on a TCS Edge chassis, and run 70wt front, and 60wt rear. I have pen springs internally, under the piston, and cut 2 of the supplied internal springs in half, and put the half spring on top of the piston. About 1/4" of fuel tube outside, for a bump stop. This setup works very well. I was running them full droop, but they were too long, which caused all sorts of issues.

After all I've sold them... They were way too soft for me, even with the outer springs. But that is only my opinion, for some soft shocks they are good except the wobbling shock shafts. But they aren't leaked!

So this is good set of shocks, especially for this price, but I've found the stock Axial shocks better (for me).

Hi , I just buy ones and have the same problem , they are too long with outer spring and they are too small with inner spring , with your setup how much length do you obtain ? thanks
