| Gear Ration question.. and also ball end ? too
Alrighty everyone, my txt1, is close to completion, just waiting on last minute items (rc4wd aluminum hubs/ball ends/ misc stuff) anyways, i have my Tx with a stock Emaxx 2spd, and 14d2 speedgem onyx motors. The spur is a stock ratio, as are the Tx axles. Tires are cut down clod tires with aluminum wheels. My question is, whats a good gear ratio for the 14s so i have more then enough low end torque in first gear, and a decent top speed in 2nd? I lost the manual so i have forgotten the tranny ratio of the stock txt trans with axles. I am looking mainly to mimic that ratio of a stock txt , but with a bit more grunt lower end.. any help anyone? My second question revolves around ball ends. Kyosho discontinued the 6.8mm ball ends i was planning to use, so what are good, affordable subtitutes? Thanks for any help or info everyone. |

If you klook at the link JRH posted, you'll probly figure out your ratio set up. That was on the 2nd page. You asked about rod ends,THIS WAS ON THE 1st PAGE!!!!! Lots of good choices here, any will do the job but some are more durable. If you read the thread you'll see my opinion. Theres a ton of info inside the little search button, you can use it also. |
