lol i did the same with my legos aswell. and if it did rock back and forth just pu limiting straps on it so that if it rocked forward the ones in the rear would stop it and vise versa. good thinking. i totally forgot that build idea.

the link you were proposing with the green line should work. if you mount it in the center it shouldnt hurt flex at all. and that would help hold it from swayin. either way, it looks good so far. nice to see a new idea

Well with the lego mindstorms set (robotics), you can build and program robots (or, if u do it right u can set it up for radio control) that do what u want... the thing i like about legos is that if it breaks, most of the time u can jus put it back together without having to buy more parts. if u did actually break parts, they are very cheap. basically i jus did the same thing as u guys are doing with RC equipment except out of legos. ill get some pics up when i can but i have been busy with my externship lately so i havent had much time to work on it. hope this answers ur question

ok, the bal links got here today so i finished it up. came out super cool...

3 LST rims of flex, pretty smooth

back wheels touch the wall( no battery or electronics, besides servo)

again no battery

not exactty 90* but a rounded 90*, and i will smooth up the bottom of the chassi

im gonna put the electronics in it and do a test run.

How much axle flex do you have (ie, torque steer)? Are you going to run the third link? That should definately solve the rocking problem.

Maybe a way of adding dampening would be to run a spring on the screw that holds the links on. The tighter the screw, the more the spring pushes, the more rotating resistance. Maybe?

ok took it out for the test run, it was sweet, but to address the questions first, nope no rockage, plays with toys im not sure what you meant but it worked fine, i think im gonna do links like are in the rear on the front also, it preformed great.

i just went to a little spot on the side of the road by my house, it as dusk so the pics suck but here they are, one is missing it is about a 17-18 inch very close to vertical climb that this did 2 out of 5 times, the only time i noticed any hint of effect of torque, with all the weight on the rear wheels it will pull the front left up a little causeing it to roll back, but could easyly corected wth line i found on the last 2 times,

articulated very well

another crack shot

a steep decent, did fine

a section that always rolled my old maxx front, come down straignt and make the turn

as i said pics suck will try to get more tomarrow, this thing is sick though. for only haveing front steer and the rear axle not being locked it is sweet

Lookin Good, I like it "take it off any sweet Jumps?" and "I love it when a Plan comes together" both come to mind

Whats with the Rear Diff? Git ur' dun already, seems like that situation might affect Torque twist in some way?

Oh and the Wheel.... Theres gotta be a story behind the Green Wheel?

well nothing is loctited yet and i noticed even in like the 15 mins i was out there i had to tighten stuff up like 4 times, so that is possibly part of the problem, with only 2ws i never had a problem makeing it go where i wanted it to.
