| first tuber attempt...
another local las Vegas crawler, jeeperjoe and i have been working on this for a couple months, about 2-4hrs at a time. i cut and bent everything and Joe has done all of the brazing. its both of our first attempts at it. what do y'all think? is all 3/16" and 1/8" solid rod with 3/16" tubing for the shock mounts. 11 1/4" long 3.5" wide and 4" or so tall. the solid rod makes it a little heavy for a tuber but its ****in beefy as hell. i actually don't have a drivetrain to put in this one right now but eventually it'll probably get an axial drivetrain and ill just use it as a fun crawler maybe try and compete with it, who knows. obviously needs a lot of cleanup before it can be painted but i figured i'd post it up anyway. what do you guys use to clean up your tubers? i was kinda thinking about sandblasting it. here its supporting 265lbs, we're gonna try to park joe's jeep on it when it's done. |

Looks good!!! You might get away with settin the Jeep on it with a jack, I'd be very surprized if it handled driving the Jeep up on it. Don't be surprized if it takes out a tire though. |

we should be able to finish it tomorrow. we'll be adding flange nuts for panel attachment and hopefully a skid plate and link mounts.
