Looks like its drilled for a ax10 trans and a r2d... go with the r2d.

If ya go with an r2d a frx/35 combo because of the lower gearing. For axial a fxr/45 combo. Both on 3 lipos.

Got more done on the crawler 55t motor r2d tranny and soft rovers here's some more pic's for your enjoyment can't wait to get it done! I also put a futaba 230oz steer servo on There's not alot of room in that chassis for all the electronic now. I might have to build platforms above the links to put more stuff. Lookin good man. For the dig servo mount go with TCS. For the driveshafts just try and find some used axial shafts with the steel yokes, then put the yokes on stampede shafts. What are you planning on doing with a battery? If your keeping it simple with a saddle pack, for your esc go with a rooster crawler. They do great and you can find them pretty cheap on here.

Not sure what were doing about the battery yet but might just build a plate above the front links and the rear links to put the electronics and battery there. The drive shafts are on now and we did just that got some axiel metal yokes and put the on the pede shafts that was a good Idea! thanks. |

For batteries check out www.ecpower.com.hk you can get (2) 3s 1500mah 20c lipos from there for $22 shipped. I bought them and a iMAX B6 charger from there for like $61 shipped. I have probably 4 cycles from each battery in my comp crawler and ive been getting 40min+ run times and great power. However if you run these packs i would use a sidewinder esc (rooster crawler cant handle 3s), once again cheap and GOOD, programable and you can run brushed or brushless. |
