| Pinion Gears
Hey everyone, I was changing out the pinion gear on my Axial SCX10 today and noticed that the new pinion didn't mesh nicely. So I went back to my local shop and picked up a 19t from Traxxas and it meshed perfectly compared to the Robinson pinion gear. So do you guys and gals have any thoughts on this? or does it really matter? |

I have used Robinson gears for years and never had a mesh problem. Sounds like a fluke to me...

| X2. I've always used Robinson gears and never had any probs ever! Make sure you got the right pitch, metric/standard, set the mesh right......if it was a bad one it is def a rare thing with them. Got any picts of it we can see?

I've never bought anything but Robinson pinions and use their hardened steel spur and clutch in my Savage, they are the best gears you can get.

All my pinions are from robinson. Sounds like you got a 32P, 64P or metric pinion instead.
