Default Scale Willy's build up

I was at Walmart tonight and found this cool Jeep Willy's from the movie Sahara. It came with two dolls, the driver is the homo Matthew mcconaughey, and the passenger.... his boyfriend. I got it for a discount because Mathew's right hand was missing. When I opened the box at home, his hand was sitting on the passenger floor.

This thing should be a sweet scale crawler since the wheel base is 13". I am thinking about using my spare bruiser axles with 1 leaf on each corner for a soft scale suspension. Not sure about the chassis yet, maybe I'll use a bruiser chassis if I decide to use the bruiser axles.

this wouldn't be an RCC thread without someone saying "sweet, where'd you get that body?" even though it's in the first line of the post.

you gonna cage it all up? wait a minute, of course you are

looks sweet.

Here are some mock up shots. I plan on using a bruiser chassis, captured springs, TLT axles, Pede or associated tranny, and swamp dawg tires.

I love this body, it has so much room under the hood to mount the electronics.

Yeah, Jason told me the same thing this morning. I am going to get some Imex All-T's and see how they fit.

Wow, that is much better than the version I picked up a while back. My hood doesn't open and it doesn't have the soft top and windshield. Although, mine was only $20, but I think the added features make up for it. Mine is the Sahara edition or something like that. It will need an OD green paint job to match up to the Slinky of course

Mine appears to be a 41 MB slat grille where as yours appears to be a 42 to 44 stamped grille version which is what Slinky is. I think I need to pick up that version instead of what I have.

Here's mine:

What mine will become when done (someday when I have time)
