Default RC4WD--Trail Finder-Jeep edition, Product Review

Well, today my trail finder was at my door, and for the price i was expecting something nice, but hot damn! even the packaging is amazing!pre cut foam for all the items, a nice little plastic parts seperator box for all the bolts and such. beautiful axles. a custom etched trans cover (RC4WD) this thing ROCKS! i know they are currently sold out, but if/when you get a chance to grab one of these...DO IT! worth every penny. every item is of the highest quality! this was my first time doing business with RC4WD, but will not be the last! i am now a LOYAL customer!!! thanks RC4WD!!! nice work!!

Your title is misleading. I was expecting to see a tech based "Product Review".

some issues i have found!

-the fenders will NEED to be CHOPPED off for the body to fit

-no flex.

the suspension is VERY tight i will try taking a leaf out and see if that lossens things up a bit.the shocks are uber stiff too. i dropped it from about 5 inches off the ground and it bounced off the ground rather than absorbing the impact like a slash or an AX10

no pics since i am still getting it put together

You're comparing IPS and 4 Link to Leaf Springs. You will never get the same feel. Do a search, there are a lot of things you can do to give it more articulation. Shooter Shackles being one of them.

Why do you need to do that? Are you using the Wrangler YJ?

If you are looking for performance over scale then go with the 4 link like Stang says.

If not, I would put a little 120 w Oil (I mean a few drops for lube) in the shocks and loose the springs. Don't need them with a leaf suspension.

There are a couple things you can do for improving the performance of the leafs. Do a search. It will make a huge difference...

The red leaf spring also work good to help as well and is a little cheaper than a 4 link.

#1 pull the springs out of the shocks
#2 weight the wheels
#3 run the rc4wd super soft red leafs or rc4wd delrin leafs w/ a helper spring.

you will be super happy with it if you do these 3 steps. i ran the red leafs in the rear and delrins up front on my scaler and i was getting about 3" of flex. i could get 3 1/2" if i held the front down.

i also contacted rc4wd about the body fitment issues and they are making a part due to an oversight to correct that problem.

So far,all I've heard (not seen) is a review of the packaging.
Some pics (without the attitude) would be really nice.

so far all i can speak of it the packaging and assembly. since i am waiting on a new part to fix an oversight like mentioned above. so its not currently in working condition and further more not at a point i want to take a picture because the oversight i mentioned, is a fitment issues, the rear wheels are way too far forward and looks funky, so i was going to wait to take pictures until RC4WD sent out the part to fix this problem, as to not detract from their business.

and i will show attitude to whoever shows me some

I to had some fitment issues, and I did buy a camera so I could take pics of the build. (which is what most people are interested in seeing anyway) Snapping shots of problems as well as the "meat" of the build is important for others to be able to understand the complexity or simpleness of assembly and function. A picture after it's done can be gotten from a web site.
Small demo: You can use colors and font's as well.
COOL HUH?
