traxxas big bore question

I just replaced the stock shocks on my Venom Creeper with Traxxas Big Bore ( white springs up front, red in the rear ).

The ride height remained pretty much the same, but the amount that each wheel can droop down below level now seems more limited. Maybe this is a good thing because I've heard the Creeper stock shocks allow for a bit too much articulation ( if there is such a thing... ).

Thoughts?
