Default Worminator Axles any good

I want to get a tube chassis like the Timberwolf or the Wreckluse would this axle fit, It seem it wont be the most to scale axle out there but the extra clearance looks good.
not alot of talk about this one here. I would like to see what kind of wheel speed I would get.
what transmision can I use?
motor kv range?

Video from youtube next to AX10 axle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03AQRUGS6ZY

The current gearing is 40:1. This is going to be low. You will need to play with motors and gearing to get it to where you want.

thanks, wao those 1.1 axles look amazing!
I was thinking to get the Corefire system from rc4wd 1000kv motor
would I be using the Axial transmission or one of the r2 ones?
im new on this and dont understand alot about ratios and what kind of speed to expect.
I guess anything close to the Axial would be good any tips.

No tranny...They are coming out with a 1:1 Transfer case that you will need to use. Trannies have reduction built in and with the wormgear reduction, you won't be able to go anywhere...

Working on a 1 to 1 unit for them. It is a ways off still, but it is on the list.

Reason for not much talk is the fact that the first 20 sets sold quick. 8 sets went to one guy. LOL.

Generally you'll want a final gear ratio of around 40:1 to 70:1, mating an axial trans to worminator axles would put you around 1000:1, which would be fawking rediculous.

A losi CCR trans would be much more reasonable, probably 75:1, with good working front and rear dig. The losi guys are having the best luck with 17.5 and 21.5 brushless inrunners (I.E. tekin RS system) on 3 cell lipo and the worminator/losi trans setup would be quite similar. That's what I'd do.
