| Need your opinion guys?
Hello guys I have now built my scx10 but ive found a slight problem with the shell: Due to the truck needing to articlate whilst crawling i need to raise the shell - would this look good or to high and give it a slighty non scale feel? What are your thoughts guys? Should i just put a different shell on? Thanks |

I guess it would depend on what you want your end result to represent. If you're going for an extremly modified trail rig only IMO your off to a good start, needs some fender trimin and top choppin. If you're after a street truck for mild offroading then it's setting too high IMO. That's my $0.02. |

Yup, depends on how you want it to look. You could just as easily cut the flares off the fenders and have much larger well openings...but do you want that look?

Yeah, you could lower it a lil and get rid of the flares and add some of the new 1.55's and end up with something like this: |

as others have said, trim the flares at the seam and lower a hair or so.

Yeah I would trim the flares or what you can try is half your hexes, I think someone makes a thinner hex 12mm hex that would allow you to bring your wheels in a bit more. It might be possible for the wheels to still climb underneath the shell without hitting!? Best way to find out would be to set you rear wheel on something allowing it to articlulate and see how high it travels and if it will sit underneath the wheel well without obstruction. It seems the shell sits fine. its just a high shell design. So to keep you planted and keep from rollovers. make sure you weight them wheels and keep your gear as low as you can go but keep the electronics high enough that when traveling water routes its not going to get real wet or wet at all.
