How do you measure wheelbase??? I just bought a body on herre that showed up today.... from this ad... http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...light=cherokee now, the ad clearly states "Ive have a hard body with a wheel base of 9.5". " While I might have a cheap measuring tape, I'm pretty sure its fairly accurate....so the question needs to be asked.. how do YOU measure wheelbase?? I have always been told its center of a wheel opening (or wheel center to wheel center).... am I right?? Just wanna make sure I'm not a total tard before I get pissed... lol http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...hwheelbase.jpg What would YOU read that WB to be? |
Center to center...just as you think. I see that as 7.5" to 8" due to the angle of the tape. The seller must have measured from the total extent of the wheel wells (extreme front to extreme rear). Not how you measure wheelbase though :? |
ok, so while I am crazy, I'm not nuts... good hopefully this is a standup seller then.... |
yep...7 1/2 to 7 3/4" wheel base.....I always ask how wide is the body as well.. |
7 3/4- 8 would be my guess |
so, did we get a prize? |
id say its about 5"-6" wide, i was about to buy that body, but it was going to be to small. It might be a good scaler for some 1.5's but nothing over that i would think? |

WB is measure center of wheel nut to center of wheel nut, no matter what truck :flipoff: But if we are talking for the fenderwells on that truck, looks to be 7.5" |
