| axle extension question.
I just bought my 1:18 scorpion, and i was toying with it yesterday while it was charging. I swapped rubber, removed the rear springs, cut the front springs but i couldnt figure out the axle extention. My rear axle has the same setup as the front where in some pictures i see on here, there is only a screw that holds the rear axle on. All the writeups i have found on here are using the axle with the screw rather than the pin type one that the front axles use. Ive seen pictures of some of them so i know its possible, but when i tried it the Bic Pen kept pulling out from the radius arm. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

i just used the pen & wired everything together.. put everything where you want it/run wire through it all// bring the wire back to itself & twist to desired tension |

I just did the same thing...except, I had some 3/8 plastic tubing with a 1/4 hole in the center of it...Used 1" on each end of my scorpion. Really simple actually....disassemble the current conrol arms/bar. You'll find a screw in the center of the bar...remove it, now add your spacer, and a longer screw of some sort. I just used 1 5/8 wood screws (after I drilled out the plastic a bit and countersunk the head), and it works great. The screw went into the plastic so tightly, I can actually leave the entire assembly a little bit loose, which equals more flex. I'll get some more pics up tonight of how I did the setup.
