Crawl Space you are very lucky to have that big of an indoor course. Here in Oregon a roof over the spot is a BIG plus.
I like your basic design & that is what I envision my next phase, lots of pallets & wood coated with rock.
Very nice.

Wow. I just started a couple weekend ago by moving some rocks I had at the house to the back yard. Then I realized rocks are heavy! I still have more to move. I'm just going to create a trail around my back yard with rocks in one area and then other obstacles in other areas. I don't want it to be boring in one place or look like an RC playground too much. In the fall I'm going to get some miniature pine trees! Would love to build a primitive bridge one day. In FL it was so easy. Stick a shovel in the ground and move dirt. Here (in SC)we have clay and rocks. I need to buy a pick axe!

The pallets give me an idea for cheap materials to build a bridge or other parts with. I need to find a place that will give me a few broken ones.

Woah those are crazy awesome. My backyard is boring as hell, I only have a few old fences to drive on. There is a old wood pile behind my old shed but it's not really fun...that's why I go out in the woods or find an old creek to drive in.

My son and I converted a small vegetable garden into our backyard rock course. We plan to add more rocks and features this summer.

My son & I added 600 lbs of rocks to our backyard rock course this morning.

Default OKC Back Yard obstacle course.(In Progress)

Been working on it about 3 days total. About 1 month as time fly's. Still have a ways to go.
Future Home 50 ft X 10 ft

Raked leaves to show area.

setting up for turn around.

Turn around with outlines. area on left is 4 inch very loose dirt.
area on the right drops 4 inches and has a exit/entry mound 4 inches above level.

Made a limb trench. This view is coming over mound.

a little video of hancho. Have since changed exit rock.
http://vid1061.photobucket.com/album...psua95q0pt.mp4

new rock coming out of limb trench.

It leads into a sandstone road, then through a tire.

After tire turns to go up side of water feature.(to be finished)
After comes out of soft dirt have 5 ft straight that Im not sure what to do next. Then goes up 2 limb climb to top of tire to rope bridge.
Don't have any good pictures of that so here is a video.

Enjoy. Getting ready to get some more dirt and rock to finish.

Thanks. It's gotten a lot bigger since I posted pics. I'll try to get some new ones up soon. I have a bunch of videos on YouTube of the course as it has progressed.

Thanks. I actually didn't realize just how much it's grown until I took those pics. We have started clearing a new area to build on. And may do a couple long loop trails away from the main area.

Here's a start to what I hope will be a perimeter trail system around the yard. Progress is slow due to having ACL surgery recently (good thing I have a 5 year old for the heavy lifting... ) but making headway one small feature at a time.

Maybe name the bridge section along the lines of "rattle snake gulch" such as "eagle's eye bridge" or something like that.
