what type of grease would work in a axial transmission.

would fuchs' silkolene pro rg2 synthetic racing grease work?

Rocksmith's Gear Jelly has been working great in my Slash/Wheely King desert truck.

i just use grease for tractors had it laying around and it works great

same here, lucas red and tacky. use it for everything. my quads and trucks, figured it was ok for the crawler to.

Ive always loved 3n'1 oil, it can get wet and still be very oily , wd40 isnt bad, but i suggest 3 n 1

I use Slick 50 grease. Pack the tranny full and let 'er rip.

I use Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease, in my Axial, Berg, and Slash, works good so far.

I use Slick 50 grease (green grease), I use just enough to coat the gears. If you use too much it migrates to the outside of the gear not doing anything. Grease that is too thick or too much will have too much stiction (sticktion), great for packing planetary diffs but not for general lubrication. Really any grease that is plastic safe will work, you are looking to reduce the wear and friction between parts. Just be sure to tear down once in while, I have seen grease harden after a couple of years. I hope this helps.
