| Definitive AftrMkt Wheel/Tire Thread
I've been searching around for awhile, and theres no real good threads that describe how to mount new tires/rims to the stock rims/nylint. So if anyone could throw up some pics or a write up, I'm sure that this would be a good thread! Thanks, Trevor |

I'll bite...there was someone on the forum that was going to make wheel adapters. He had them machined, but something was wrong in the tooling process, and had to have them re-done. That was the last post on the thread. Do a search and find out who they were. Chrsitian

Saw that, and I thought because there were no replies after that that there was no action w/ that. Anyway, how are you guys mounting up these bigger tires?

I don't recall seeing someone on the 1:6 forum mount up bigger tires. I know the guys in the 1:18 forum are running 2.2 tires, but I haven't seen anyone do that here (But I haven't been here forever, so I may have missed it)

i just mounted 2.2 on a 1:18 and am about to start on a 1:6 project. here is an idea but i haven't messed with it to see if it will work. take the chrome piece of the stock nylint rim and bolt it to what ever rim that you want to use. this way, the chrome piece will still mount to the stock axles and not have to drill out the axles. not sure if it will work on the 1:6 but gives you something to tinker with.
