Default new radio shack truck, for parts maybe?

i found this accidently. i cant work out the sizes
to scale but it comes with a driver, a dinghy and
some other things. i always wanted to build a landcruiser
hj75 series. maybe some good ideas from it.

That's just the headlight I think...

The whole truck was part # 600-4304 (Sometimes 60-4304) and you can go to a radio shack and ask them to look up the body assembly for it, as well as the driver figure. They should have a picture of the part to make sure it's the right one.

Here's the user manual:

http://support.radioshack.com/suppor...oc66/66025.pdf

According to that, the body is 1/12th scale.

Build it, it would be unique!

looking at the pictures though the detail
on the body isnt the best. someone could
probably make one out of styrene. i dont have
the skills for that.

Hmm...depending on the size........that rear cargo cover tent looking dealie-o may be just what I need to use as a rooftop tent for my 1:10 offroad trailer build.

Default I have this body!

I found this truck at a local thrift store the other day... So from experience I can tell you that it is approximately 1:16 scale. I am currently building a tube chassis out of 1/8" solid stock. I'm basing it off a Losi MRC. The original WB is about 9 1/2 inches and the MRC comes in at abot 8 1/2 inches. So a stretch will be in order. The interior is basically only the top half of everything ( i.e. the top half of the seats, tranny tunnel, dash, etc.). I will post pix and a write up soon as I get some headway! Wish me luck!
