| Berg vs Bully
im lookin into a new 2010 comp rig. now, my question is what advantages do new age axels have over Bully? first off it seams that the upper links on a Bully are kinda funky. but i dont even know if that matters? so whats berg got over bully? durability? better functional design? strength? COG? smell better? |

Upper links? Are you buying a Bully kit or just the axles? I use Revo pushrods for the uppers on my Bully and they are perfect: Personally, I went with the Bully axles because of the support that is offered here by the manufacturer and the fact that the new version requires no upgrades....just loctite the hardware, grease the gears and run them. |

Nice, i mean looking around, i really dont see why i would buy Bergs over bully. but the short tem memory and focusing issues make it real easy for me to miss things... and yea, currently i plan on a 2nd FXR, punk dig switch, 2 HH 35t motors, lipo and 2 MOA axels. I love my SWX setup so i plan on keeping that chassis and ill have 2 axial axels for a scale or trophy truck project |

I went with a bully based rig for the price and the support that is offered right here by RC4WD. They are durable and tough as hell. I had no real issues setting mine up other than having to space out the shocks and lower links. Check out my build thread for more info... Boogie's Bully |

| Well, these axles are certainly durable, but the are not light weight. However, I see that as a good thing. That means that I can use less weight at the wheels which means less rotating mass....which leads to fewer broken parts. Thanks! It has been performing quite well and will be making the trip to Crawlapalooza. |

I looked at getting a set of Bully's for awhile. However I won't run them simply due to the weight factor. I would rather be able to add weight where I need it rather than deal with a 2lb axle case.

no thats good, and where i want the weight. id like to keep the chassies and electronics and batts etc to weigh less than 1 axel. then run unweighted ally rims upfront, and plastix axial rims on the ass as a starting point. im hesitant to lighten the wheels in my axialdue to the massive hunk of shit dead center in the chassis. i have what i feel to be a good proportion of weight between the chassis and tranny weight vs the axels.... i really want a MOA just do do away with the damn chunk of weight in the middle of my rig |

Oh, and you're gonna love that electronic dig! Much smoother operation than a mechanical dig. Yeah, it is really just personal preference...

if i could run a 4.5-6lb bully it would be ideal... thanks dudes! time to hit the research banks! the only damn thing that intimidates me is how to get 2 FXR's to run as one lol. my homie glassman has a bylly with 1 FXR, and it works, but im an advocate of overkill |

No need to run dual ESCs unless you are planning to control this with a stick radio or 4PK. I run a single ESC and control this truck with my DX3R....

Why run 2 FXR's if you are going to use a Punk? Not really overkill, just not needed. If you want to run 2 ESC's then get a stick radio or a radio capable of mixing.

hmmmmmm, i was just figurin why not? but is the only way i can do that w/ a stick tx? i may then just buy and solder up a larger capicitor to the FXR then... on glassmans bully w/ an fxr he has immediate reverse, but the trasition is slower w/ 2 motors opposed to my 1 |

You should be able to get your rig close to 6 or 7 pounds with either the Vanquish SLW or Mayhem Delrin wheels. I run a single FXR with a PunkRC switch controlled by my DX3R and it works flawless, but if you want to run dual FXR's on a stick or 4pk, there's really no need for the dig switch.

Couldn't you just use the novak dig? It's meant to be used with dual esc rigs.
