Default sectioning a body?

I have a CKRC bug body. I cut 3/4" out of the middle. I used my soldiering iron & a piece of body to weld it back together. Is there an easer & better way to put it back together again? Please let me know.

krazy glue. just gotta take your time and do it in sections, or just "tack" it together with super glue and smear some 5 minute epoxy on the seam. you will be stuck painting the outside though

I was going to use it as a basher body anyway. It was an old body that I painted the inside to begin with.
The 5 min epoxy; is it in a 2 part tube? Where can you get it at?

Shoe Goo works best for body repair, it holds well and still remains flexible

Drywall mesh tape and Shoe Goo works great but doing a whole body may be tough to hold up.

try aiaplastics.com..or whatever company,,,for polycarbonate solvent cement,,use a narrow piece to overlap each piece you are bonding and apply easy pressure as you add cement,,it will suck into the seams and when it sets the pieces will be bonded,,usually the lexan around the seam will rip/tear long before the bonded area does

Thanks for all the help. Don't thank I'll be doin that again. It was a pain in the a$$ trying to weld it with the iron. By the way I have a cheap iron ( a $7.00 one ), so it don't matter if it gets mest up. Just get another one.

The lexan specific bonding cement sounds great, I've got some projects that will be needing it. My guess is that one would have to paint the bonded lexan on the outside regardless of bonding procedure, but that is a price to pay to rig up a lexan body and have it be sturdy
