| Not all Pinion Gears are created equally.
Wondering who makes the best pinion gears? I have noticed that the small collection I have vary in quality and durability. What gears do you guys find to be of the best quality?

Robinson racing has some excellent pinion gears from my experience.

Absolute from Robinson, but they don't go smaller than a 16 tooth. Those are my favorite, and they're tough. http://www.robinsonracing.com/catalo...tchpinion.html |

I have great look with RRP. Also I use some hyperion pinions in 48p and 32p. They are longer than normal though but hold great and go down to 9t in both pitches.

Losi have always seemed the best to me. Decently wide, craved out for lightness and hardened steel. High end Robinsons are good as well but I feel Losi makes the best steel pinions. But all of my rigs are running cheap steel robinsons... |

Losi all the way. Losi's are much harder than Robinsons, and quieter. I won't run anything but Losi's if the gear needs to be smaller than about 20 teeth in 48 pitch. The bigger Absolute Robinsons are good if there is no dirt involved. |

I was on the Losi bandwagon for a while, my hobby shop insisted. They wore out kinda quick I though. That's when I went to the RRP Absolutes. I do really like the extra materail they leave around the set screw, it makes it so easy to set the mesh. |

Yea steel pinions like RRP. I strip the axial aluminum ones pretty easily.

RRP all the way! Never had an issue with any of them.
