| Anyone tried running rear tow in or out on their crawler?
I've been wondering how a little rear tow in or out might effect a crawler. Anyone tried it? I know on a lot of go fast rc's a little rear tow in is used to help the rear track straight. |

I ran a touch of toe in before I went to straight axles in the rear.

| I don't think you would notice it for the fact of the tires being "aired down" and having a spool it probably would not work out well.... idk! most every one is running strait axles anyway for the fact that these are crawlers.... so toe doesn't really effect the rig. |

Years ago. Took a page from my FWD Honda race kaa book and did rear toe out. Idea was to swing the rear end around through a corner. Almost a passive rear steer, but not at all really as it's fixed. I can't be certain it worked on the crawler really with the tires being such mush. Definitely worked on the race car though. |

i think toe out might hurt you in off camber situation..i do run a bit of toe in..not sure if it makes a difference but in theory it might help in the off camber by keeping the tire from sliding down the rock as it rolls

Thanks guys. Sounds like it's probably not worth the trouble to try it. |

I run a bit of toe in on my 1.9 scale rig. Seems to help it turn sharper and to gain that extra bit of traction when others with the fixed or straight axle can't get it.
