Default What Lube for Gears

I hear good things about rocksmith gear jelly...but don't want to pay $20 for a case and shipping. Is there anything locally I could pick up for less that works well? I am going to use it in my Bully V2 axle set.

Thanks!

Any EP Moly will work great. More or less a bearing grease, found at an auto parts store.

gearjelly is well worth it... Ive used just plain old Marine grade bearing lube that you can get at walmart, autozone etc.

I have to agree with the guys on the gearjelly. I have been running it in my rigs and have not had a problem with it at all. Its some tacky stuff, my cleaner at work that we use to clean oxygen lines wont even get it off without hitting it with a brush or something.....well worth it.

I did just rebuild my axles and used the new Star lube from Vanquish. So far it seems like great stuff but I only have 1 run on them.

Kragen, searched, found this which I know is some seriously sticky stuff if it's the same stuff that comes with the Energy bushing kits.

http://shop.oreillyauto.com/ProductD...tNumber=911110

And this site says it is: http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...shing-Lube.asp

I gotta go look for mine now.

EeePee that looks interesting. I may try it. For $3 locally it'd be worth it.

Although I do work for an offroad company lol. There may just be something useful around here.

I'm lucky enough to have my LHS Vanquish Products. I go in there often to talk, and

to see if I can get anything prototype. I was lucky to get the grease they now

sell. http://www.vanquishproducts.com/star-lube-20.html . This is grease that

they use on all the expensive machines in there shop. The best grease I have

personally used.. Very sticky and stays were you put it, plus it goes a long long

ways. I greased up my LCC one time and it still doesn't need a re grease. Just

my opinion. GL with the grease search

I've heard that the new KY warming jelly realy gets the gears in the mood
Seriously, the Mobil one synthetic can't be beat for the price and avaibility. It's water proof,is Red so you can see if is contaminated and seems like a little tube last forever.

i've switched my xc chassis over to some chain wax for bike chains.

it's sticky and healthy on the plastic.
it's only been in a few weeks now, but so far so good.

GearJelly is the way to go! Think of it as a investment that is protecting your rig! And a little dab will do ya
