New Electronics ??? I did a tummy tuck, moved the battery up into the cab, etc...When I was putting everything back together, I think I hit the main board on the new aluminum skid plate and shorted something out...The thing will go forward and reverse in both gears, but the steering servo is locked to one side. When I turned the switch on in the past, usually there was a noise of the servo resetting itself (?), but now there is nothing. Has anyone else had this problem ? And does anyone know if Nylint can send new board ONLY or do I have to buy whole chassis ? |
check the ground wires they may be diconected because i did the same thing. as for replacements you will need to buy a new chassis enlsess you can solder it back together |
 Are the ground wires the black ones on this thing ? figure thats the standard color, but you never know these days. |
justy look at the wires on the small panel then follow them |
All the wires are attached...is it possible to short out transistors (?) or whatever the guys that hang off the board are? lost all controls for a second last night when the boards touched, but once seperated it came back...permanent damage to the steering likely ? |
Lesson here is when you are working with electronics disconnect the battery  Sounds more to me like a chip is fried |
I had everything disconnected...I put electrical tape around the edges of everything that I thought would present a problem...guess I didnt insulate enough. Going to call Nylint today and see if they can send me just the chips, so I can try again. |
anyone else got any ideas why the steering would go out. i rolled mine and now no more steering, forward reverse fine , but no steering at all. not even a sound when i turn the wheel:cry: checked and i cant find anything loose. |
