Default AX10 rtc vs. Night Crawler

sorry if this is already posted somewhere but, I want some opinions on this. I'm looking to buy my son a crawler for x-mas and would like to get one of the two listed above. Not going to do much comp stuff with it mainly backyard course and some trail runs.Something to take camping and goof off with. Thanks for the input.

I would go with the Axial, I believe the RTR is much cheaper than the

nightcrawler. Plus the stuff you get with the nightcralwer is nothing like the LCC

roller. I think for what your looking for you would get much more out of the

Axial. Just my 2 cents.

losi night crawler would be very fun for a youngster.BUT dig is one of my wife and sons fav. things about crawling. me 2 to be honest. the main problem I have with rtr's is you will have to replace nearly all the elec. in the not so distant futur.[money well spent you only spend once] to be honest keep your eye out for a used truck with everyone going moa you will find a good deal on a truck WITH DIG trust me its a blast and i have seen a losi comp crawler sell with quality elec. for 300, thats cheap and all you need is a 3ch radio

The losi isn't a good "kids" rig.

How old is your son?

The Losi is really a comp truck, no matter how they dress it down. It's too narrowly focused.

Your best bet by far is the Axial RTR. Pretty well priced, lots of potential that can be added as your son improves. With a 27t motor it wont crawl so well, but he'll have more fun with it if crawling isn't really his thing. If you already know crawling is his thing, go the RTC or just pick up a 45t or 55t motor to go with the RTR.

I just got a LNC and this thing is awsome will out crawl my axial anyday! I think so what if it dont have a dig my night crawler is my new sportsman rig it is deadly right out of the box only thing i have done with it is swapped out the servo and added weights to the wheels and a 28t pinion might go back to a 25t the losi night crawler would be the way to go Yea it cost more than the axial RTC but losi has spectrum rx/tx thats a plus, and the worm gears plus any lcc parts will swap right in Thats my 2 cents

well thanks everybody for your input. seems like a split decision and pretty much a personal preference.both have their own + and - 's. i will add that he loves crawling with my axial scorpion. more than likely i will get him the RTC since i know what to expect from it.thanks again everybody.
