Default Axial MOA

Ok i was wondering if any one had tryed a moa setup on the axial axles(like the losi moa)?

i know the gear ratio is WAY of from the losi or berg ex.

i thought it would be cool to try, but i dont have the brain or the tools to build any thing like that (eritex)

You'd have to cobble a tranny of some sort to the axle in order to get your gear ratio's right. I know for a fact that it's been done on other axles and even some home brew solid axles. You can search the Twin Force section,I know there was a build in there a good while back. Could it be done, probably. It'd take allot of custom work and parts I would think to do it right.

the biggest problem would be the gear reduction. the axial axles have a 2.92 ratio, but the actual ratio of the truck needs to be 40:1-70:1. losi axles use a worm gear and are around 40:1, hence why moa is easy with them.
