Default Belt slipage?

does anyone else have a problem with belt slipage? it seams every time i get a tire to hook real good to get over a rock, it will just stop turning. which really pisses me off when i'm in the heat of battle(if you know what i mean).

does anyone else have this problem? how to fix it?

yup, i just opened up my axle and its a belt drive to a pully that goes to a planitary reduction box.

I am ging to look for "mini" automotive belts or a "O" ring that gets more grab on the pully.
only next option would be a chain drive

update:
If you replace the belt with a 2"x2 1/4" x1/8 O-ring you wont slip much any more

i cant say ya wont break anything because of it

the rear is easy. open the case remove the gear range lever and replace. the front you have to do simmilar but the motor is on top of the axle and requires a little more work.

maybe a stupid question but,

where would be a good place to find the correct size O-ring? Home-depo?

i have a O-ring kit at the shop but i'm not sure if i have the correct size.

Advance Auto or any auto parts place and ask them to look at thier O rings. Home Depot might have it depending on how good thier hardwear section is.

I am playing with diffrent sizes but i broke somethin else i need to fix first

that was the first mud run just as a shakedown to see what needed to be done. in the pic above with the black bodyed Heep, that was about as far as it would go because the grond clearance under the axle is terrible. we did have some water in the elctronics problems but after it dryed out for an hour it worked fine again. i have to work on sealing up the rear axle a bit as the vents are on the bottom of the axle, but all in all it dosn't work very well in mud, but i knew that before, i just like testing the limits. If you could use high range to keep the tires lit it would work sweet but it just dosn't have enough motor :?

Hmmm...try hot glue to fill up the vent in the rear and radio shack sells all size boxes called project inclosures and put the elctronics in ther and u can outline the cover with hot glue, just some sugestions :-P
