Default Snow Wheeling

well, i finally got my 2.2 swamp dawgs mounted up on project who-dey. so i went outside for a little test in the snow. i am currently running them with no foam, and dont plan to use it. i like the way they work without it. i stuck the basher body on it so as not to ruin my shiny bengal paint (plus that body isnt quite as cut up as the black one so the tires rub a lot mroe)

heres what i discovered: the 2.2 swamp dawgs work awesome in the snow. i need to glue the tires badly. still need to trim the front fenders, the rear is trimmed almost perfectly. the stupid low gear is almost too low to do anything in the snow, so i kept it in high (old low) to give me enough wheel speed for the snow/rock mixture i was climbing.
im anxious for the weather to clear so i can test the 2.2's and dual cases on the rocks. i think i got the spring setup just about dialed in right where i want it..... for now.

so enough about that - on to the pics

Looks great!

I just picked up a Jeep the other day. I too hope the snow dries so I can build a rock course in the backyard!

Have you found any more crawling spots locally? I'd like to check your rig out sometime.

Cool looks like those swamp dawgs self clean pretty well. Do you have anything waterproofed, or are you just going as is?

i did the old spray the tires with bakers joy before i took them out so the snow didnt stick. it seemed to work very well.

and since i put theduals cases in i had to knotch out the sides of each axle case. plus i had to cut off the part of the louvers that was raised up inside the case. so it all is pretty open so theres no way i could effectively waterproof it. its way more vulnerable to water now than the stock setup - ill just have to be really careful. the snow wasnt a problem though. its water deeper than like an inch i have to worry about.

and adam - i dont remember if i told you. but i found a really good spot down at the end of salem, where it meets kellogg. its down under an overpass by the river so its always covered from the weather. ill be heading down there the next warm day to do a test run on the dual cases.
