I was looking at the Losi micro comp crawler and noticed they supply a full size radio with it. Really? Why can't they give you a small game pad controller with it. The thing is for crawling around your desk at work. Not like your going to compete with the thing. There should be a rule, if its smaller than 1/18 scale, the full size controller has too go.

Losi has tiny receivers and probably gets a hell of a deal from spektrum on the radios that is why they are included. Plus I like being able to turn how much I want and control the throttle vs full lock steering L/R and full throttle/reverse. If you want a rc car with a game pad controller wal-mart is that-a-way --->

I say game contoller but I really am thinking of something like what E-Flight uses on there Blade MSR heli's. IMO, I can't imagine the Losi Mini crawler being much fun for competition. I have tried racing Kyosho Mini Z's (onroad) and it was fun but the thrill decays pretty quick. Just not the same as something like 1/10 scale. Even 1/18 is fun but it is my limit of what I think as being something to be taken seriously as a competition machine. Don't get me wrong, I think the mini crawler is cool and would be fun to play with.

I think I would just get the Bind and Drive also and use my 3R. Then instead of putting my radio in my truck bag, I could put my truck in my radio bag.

Pretty soon the cars will be small enough to store in the controller battery compartment. Pretty sure you take apart a radio and its probably mostly empty anyways and circuit boards can be rebuilt into smaller pieces, just make a scaled down version of the remote to go along with the micros, then you could also use the smaller remote with any rc car

If your talking about the Micro's, Ohhh you can bet they will be comped! I know a huge group of us have been buying them and fixing them up to be scale crawlers. and as far as 1/18th scale. well it depends on the demand of your club. if enough people do enough to something to make them intresting enough to be comp worthy. Im pretty positive that companies will follow suit and make other parts for them. Look at the Mini T and RC18t market. It went nuts and everyone was making parts for them. Then every RC manufacturer out there were making 18th scale truck, buggies and cars. I know we plan to have a little comp for our micro's at next years MSD's when we are all hanging around the shop if Ben is down for it! Its what you make of it that changes it.

Because avid RC enthisiast such as myself us damn good Spektrum radios. The Micro comp crawler is perfect for those of us who have made the investment of a decent spread spektrum multi model memory radio. WE JUST GET TO BUY THE TRUCK and bind it to our own radio. While you slackjawed gaping gobemoushes who half ass it, are stuck lonely and confused holding yourselves and have to fork out an additional $40 for another crappy radio LOL Last edited by BEELZEBOB; 12-03-2009 at 09:53 AM.
