| so i was at my LHS and was about to get some foams and weights when we started talking about how much is too much. his crawler has over 12oz in the front and nearly 8 in the rear. i lifted his car and it was just too heavy. I know that wheel weight is good fro grip and helps lower you CG. But how much is too much. With my recent mod of moving my battery to the axle as low as i can, and my existing sealed tires with beads most of my weight is over the front axle. I would imagine at some point the extra weight just means everything has to work harder to make it climb. for me i would think how can you get the CG as low as possible and keep it light enough to climb. Other theories? |

| I think there is a point where you can start hurting yourself with to much weight. But I do believe it is different for every rig and driver. I know I like the rear to be as light as possible and my Fronts to weigh in at 6-7 ounces more each over the rears. I use to run allot more than that but now I see it did nothing but make the truck feel like a pig and break parts. |
