I got a small part of a bench the garage. That's where all the tools are. I guess I could put a tv out there but I can't two things at once.

I'm with you on that one!

This is where I should be doing my work.

I will most likley stay at the Kitchen table it works out good because it close to the garage and the beer fridge is in between the two There isn't a Mrs. BLKXJ 96 at the moment so I don't get *"TheLook"* I just woundered what everyone else did.

I thought about a cheap Craftsman bench from Sears, but the tabel works too well esp. when you have a few people over crawling. everyone has their own pit area.

Here's my hole in the basement...:

Even got a spot in the Xtreme-RC Magazine "RC Cribs" Challenge

And how I eloquently described it:
Quote:
Well Mister Skinner, you seem to have forgotten one very important factor of workshops: Tornado proofing. While you may have more and better tools, I have the advantage of an underground locale for my shop. It features a heavy duty metal shelving unit, a cloth decked table for wrenching, and counter space for amassing parts (not shown). The walls are graced with mom's floral print paint and some RC posters from XRC and LHS freebies. My tools aren't too shabby though, Integy makes some nice torque drivers with interchangable tips, and my nut drivers are antiques I got from grandpa. I have an assortment of other random stuff, a Hakko 60W soldering iron, and a genuine X-acto Brand hobby knife.

I have two benches in my garage. Can't find either one at the moment... My coffee table or my desk at work must suffice for now.

Let there be light! That's what I like about your workspace setup. It's good how you have it set up in a corner, and those 2 big fluorescent lights shining down from 2 angles, no matter which bench you're working on.

I've been struggling to see my work area. i had 2 fluorescent desktop lights, but I recently added another big gooseneck lamp with a 100w bulb, and that's finally got me to where I'm not squinting so much.

I also like your bench work surface. Is that flooring fatigue matting? Looks ribbed like it would help keep parts from rolling away.

I bought a old, big @$$ metal desk from the thrift sto and put it in the garage. Before that I used the spair bedroom, ( now taken ), and before that it was the living room. No matter how much room you have, you can only pack so much stuff in arms reach.

This is my Underground Dwelling. It started with the bench in the center.....I had this odd section in my basement wall that was directly under my fireplace. Couldn't do much with it except build a "Man Bench". I made it out of 3/4" White Melamine to fit.

Then toybuilder and I needed a place to test in the winter, so we built the "Man Mountain". It still needs more rocks, but we grab a few every now and then from work.

The bench on the left is a recent work acquisition.....the top was our Thanksgiving table a week ago. The best part is it's only 12' from my "Man Fridge"

I picked up a big old drafting table...like 6' x 4'..use that in the basement..had it in the garage, but first time it hit -10 I decieded to "ask" the wife if I could move into her hobby room...now its heated..and air conditioned. Still have to go to the man cave to do grinding and stuff, but that's ok...

I need a mans fridge...what kinda hop water is in there.....
