making tires grip better

ok, i know we all wish the stock tires would grip better, we have already covered cutting them to make them conform better. as far as making the rubber softer i have heard alot of old timer scale dirt racecar drivers talk about spraying their scale tires down with WD-40 and covering them with tinfoil the night b4 the race. they said it makes the tires super soft. im going to try it soon and il let you all know how it works out. i have also heard of people using various fuels to soften their tires
