Ok I'll bite, Isn't that causing a lot of drag on the belt? Or does that rod somehow spin with belt rotation? ...Papewayo ...Confused by the pics |

Seems like a lot of work when the smaller o-ring works well, is cheap, and is extremely easy to do. Oh well, have fun building away. I would probably do the same thing. |

If I were to do this mod I would run down to my LHS and get a Tailwheel for a airplane. When you take the tire off the wheel you will find that the wheel has a nice v shape which would keep the belt aligned. They are very cheap also. I use these same wheels/tires on my wheelie bar for my Pede. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFU85&P=7 |

Hm...I had the idea already for something similar except i've not dug into the axle yet, too lazy. I wanted to add a spring and a screw type adjustment, maybe i am just over complicating things. |

Now that v 1.2 looks pretty good. Kinds reminds me of the tensioner on my Mugen MTX2. Did you figure out why the axle was so LOUD? |

I have discovered the old gears for the diffs are stronger than the green plastic ones that were in my upgraded chassis The old chassis steering belts are tighter and dont slip, thats why old knuckles snapped and the new ones dont. The new style wheels use some lil gay washer thing, rather than a tight hole, . Also the new chassis use a plastic washer on the high/low arm. The upgraded chassis also seem to have a lot less grease in them. Right now my actual chassis i'm using is a clusterfawk of original chassis with a first gen upgraded chassis. I do have a untouched upgraded though for my next one, the one i'm using broke first time out, they sent me a new one, in the mean time i got the old one to work with clusterfawking parts | |
