Most of the people I know of, don't use them. I've only used them once in the past. Then, I used wire that's used to hang picture frames, and 20ga. ring terminals for the ends. (The terminal was drilled to allow a 3mm screw to pass through)

Somewhere on the server, is an article where someone had some mini brackets laser cut, and then used a small, cat/dog collar or a shoelace for the actual strap.

Shocks serve as limiting straps in R/C. It doesnt hurt them. Not in crawling. Maybe if you were racing or jumping you might need them.

It seems that people favor limiting straps to correct flawed suspension designs (*cough*cough*), but they really aren't a necessity as AdamF had pointed out. RC axles really lack the mass to damage the shocks.

if you want them for appearence try some small 3/8" leash or shoe lace. I use the leash for tow straps.

Agreed. If you need to limit shock travel, a piece of fuel tubing on the shock shaft has served me well.
