First Place, Moab Utah, The Winning Rig, Teardrop Light

Some people have asked me about my truck, so here is the info. This truck was originally a Clodzilla II. It originally took second place in Utah at the UTRCRC Rumble on the Rocks 2. At that time it was still 80% stock, with only a modified top end with savage shocks, front and rear steering, magnetic mayhems, weights in the front tires, and giant tracs.

Next I lightened the top end, and increased it’s wheelbase from 14” to 16”. I also added an adjustable ride height system. In this configuration the truck was able to accomplish its goal, to finally beat Team UTRCRC, and end their string of wins. It was all in good fun and in the spirit of competition.

The truck in it's original form:

yeh, the adjustable ride height makes the truck super stable on inclines, downhills, etc. Not sure what the weight is and i can't weigh it because it's in pieces now being rebuilt/improved. But it wasn't the lightest thing out there.

So to adjust the ride height do you have a 4+ channel remote, or do you have your rear steer y'ed off and a 3 channel remote?

the winch servo is controlled by a 4th channel, the left up/down stick.

Just like the real deal when they hook up a winch to their axle to pull the truck down for inclines.

Damn Clods, getting all the cool adjustable things like ride hight and wheelbase. Anyways looks great. Do you think you would have won at Moab if you didnt have the adjustable ride hight?

Has this truck ever had a body?

I'm thinking it needs one.

Every pics I see of it on the rocks it's running naked.

This is wearing thin.....

UTRCRC holds and runs competitions, its a website not a team. We don't have a team for this exact reason. Pinch and I put together events that everyone can come out a share a common interest, we don't spout off at the mouth stating that where the "Big Boy Crawlers"

Kevin won the Moab comp and beat guys and gals from Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and Utah, not Team UTRCRC.

I think I speak for all the competators out there at the Moab comp who are reading or who have read this, that ONE WIN IS ONE WIN. Each of those competing at the moab event had a chance to win the comp. Each of them have had great competitions and have won many in the past. Lets not forget that 9 of the drivers in the last course cleared it with zero points. Thats damn good driving!

I don't want to take away from Kevins win, because it was a great run and he did very well, but lets stop shooting off at the mouths about how great this person or that person is. Shoot if we where going to list off names lets point out JtotheC, Griz, Ace, Dirk, etc... They all win comps time and time again and hold some of the most well organized and challenging events. The point is, is to have fun and not make this a cut throat type of sport. :D

I'll get off my soap box now.
