Default Steel Pitman Arm

Well this Newyears eve at a bud's I managed to grenade my rear axle drive collar, split open a wheel drive hex, pretzel the tie-rod, and shear the pitman arm off the steering box shaft.

So we had to make some new parts in the garage to go wheeling...I'll get pictures tommorow, tired right now. Lets just say it is easier than you think, and maybe even a little bootyfabulous!

yeah i broke my pitman arm today. im thinkin a steel one would be easiest to make but i might try an Aluminum one.

has anyone glued the pitman arm back together? if so what type of glue did you use and how well did it work?

The piece on the far left, the Pitman arm, broke off cleanly on mine.

So me and a bud found that a 3/8" 1/4" drive 6point socket fit PERFECTLY, 12pt won't work

Then we cut it down to proper height, JB welded it to the plastic spacer, welded some rod stock to the socket while making it slightly longer for more throw and welded a small bolt to fit the drag link on, then I adjusted the throw and center for the sensor and JB welded it into the end of the socket.

Now its got some serious hydro like steering going on, the tie rod and the knuckle tower are back to the weak link, the tie rod is constantly bowing. Another buddy that frequents this site made one out of all thread and some heims, sure wish i had a photo because its beef.
